Hyacinth breeding methods and precautions?

Hyacinth is one of the most fragrant species found in flowering plants. Hyacinth is mainly divided into Dutch and Roman species. Most of the Dutch species grow only one flower per plant, and the flowers are larger; while the Roman species belong to the mutant variety, each plant can produce two or three flowers, and the flowers are fine. The flowers are red, yellow, white, blue and purple, so they are also called five-color daffodils.

Hyacinth habits are resistant to cold and suitable for growth in a humid environment and loose and fertile soil. The flowering period is 3 to 4 months, and potted plants, plantations, and water can be used. The mode of reproduction is mainly based on the division of the ball. When breeding, seeds can be used for breeding, and bulbs can also be used for breeding.

Soil culture hyacinth method: Select the soil of peat and perlite mixed matrix, select robust bulbs and cultivate on the loose soil, the top of the ball should be exposed one third, so as to facilitate the growth of the bulb. In the cultivation process to keep the soil moist, you can put it in a sunny place, to ensure that the temperature of the flower is about 5 to 10 degrees, and to ensure the light and moisture required for normal growth during the cultivation process.

Hydroponic hyacinth method: Put the bulbs around December in a wide-mouthed glass bottle and add a little charcoal to help disinfect. Note that the ball only needs to be soaked in the bottom of the ball, then place it in a dark place, cover it with a black cloth, and then move it outside to receive sunlight after 20 days. The initial exposure is 1 to 2 hours per day, and then gradually increases to 7 to 8 hours.

Potted hyacinth method: Generally, potted hyacinth pots use a flower pot with a diameter of 10 cm and a flower pot of 15 cm diameter with 2 to 3 balls. Using nutritious soil made of loam, humus soil, fine sand, etc., the pot is buried in the soil, and then the soil is covered with 10 to 15 cm. After 7 to 8 weeks, the hyacinth flower bud grows to more than 10 cm. Remove the covered soil to expose the sun, usually planted from October to November, and bloom in March.
