The pressure test is an essential step in the installation of floor heating systems. It helps ensure that the system operates correctly without leaks or construction flaws. If the pressure test fails, it means there might be issues like water leakage or improper construction. In such cases, the construction team needs to conduct a thorough inspection and resolve the problem.
To perform the pressure test:
1. Begin by using a water pump to fill the floor heating system with water. Gradually increase the pressure to either 0.6 MPa or 1.5 times the system's working pressure. Throughout this process, keep an eye out for any unusual occurrences.
2. After stabilizing the pressure for an hour, if there’s no leakage, continue observing for another 15 minutes. A pressure drop of less than 0.05 MPa is considered acceptable. Following this, gradually raise the pressure again for the first heating cycle. Keep the water temperature between 25-30°C for around 20 hours, allowing it to reach normal levels within 24 hours.
Additional considerations:
1. During winter pressure tests, anti-freezing measures must be taken to avoid damage from freezing temperatures.
2. Pay attention to the pressure difference, as it plays a critical role. A larger pressure difference results in quicker cycles, ensuring continuous heat supply.
3. When injecting water for the pressure test, do so slowly. Once the system is full, carefully inspect all loops for proper sealing to avoid inaccurate readings.
4. After completing the pressure test, release the water and relieve the pressure. Always document the pressure values and store them for future reference.
In real-world scenarios, these steps help guarantee the reliability and safety of the floor heating system. Proper documentation ensures transparency and accountability throughout the installation process, making it easier to address any future concerns.
