**Abstract**
The 6th Zhengzhou International Superhard Materials and Products Seminar, held from November 13 to 17, 2013, in Zhengzhou, Henan, China, celebrated the 50th anniversary of the birth of synthetic diamonds in China. Organized by the Superhard Materials Branch of the China Machine Tool Industry Association and the National Superhard Materials and Products Engineering Technology Research Center, this event brought together professionals from around the world to discuss advancements in superhard materials. The seminar also coincided with the second Zhengzhou Abrasives Grinding Exhibition, highlighting the latest innovations in the field.
A key highlight of the event was the publication of a collection of essays, which aimed to showcase the development and achievements of the superhard materials industry over the past five decades. Contributions were welcomed in both Chinese and English, and all papers were published by a reputable publishing house.
**Essay Submission Guidelines**
Papers could focus on specific product developments, technological breakthroughs, or recent scientific achievements in the field of superhard materials. Topics included synthetic diamond, cubic boron nitride, composite superhard materials, thin and thick films, nanodiamonds, tools, functional superhard materials, and related equipment and processes. Submissions should be concise, well-researched, and supported by reliable data.
**Submission Requirements**
All manuscripts must be submitted electronically. Images must be scanned at a resolution of at least 300 dpi. If scanning is not possible, high-quality images may be sent instead, with a note indicating any necessary restoration. All submissions must be original and not previously published.
Authors are encouraged to follow the formatting guidelines of *Diamond and Abrasives Engineering*. The deadline for submitting abstracts was January 31, 2013, while full manuscripts were due by April 30, 2013.
**Advertising Opportunities**
Ad space was available at various rates, including color inserts (4,000 yuan) and cover pages (35,000 yuan for the front cover, 25,000 yuan for the back cover, etc.). Advertising materials had to be submitted by April 10, 2013.
