[Civil Plastics News] International plastic packaging manufacturer Coveris Holdings Corp invested 10 million euros in its three French plants to upgrade and develop flexible packaging capacity in the pet food industry. The new production facility includes a coextrusion machine, a press, a laminator, a laser cutter and several bag making machines to improve the printing and extrusion of wet and dry pet food packaging.

Coveris France is a talent center known for its professional extrusion technology, film printing technology and high performance products in the pet food market. The Chicago-based group company revealed that the latest projects of its Coveris France company include the purchase of new production equipment by the Fermeni Industrial Point. Coveris said the new equipment will be installed and delivered in the middle of this year. The growth in demand for pet food in Europe has boosted capacity and created 30 new jobs in the region.
