The meeting discussed the draft of the 12th Five-Year Plan for building materials and new materials industries. According to the five major industry planning contents disclosed in the meeting, in terms of building materials, we must vigorously develop the circular economy. During the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan†period, the building materials industry must strictly control the total amount, prevent blind expansion and redundant construction, and accelerate the elimination of backward production capacity. It is necessary to promote deep processing of products and actively develop new building materials such as energy saving, environmental protection and thermal insulation. Actively develop third-party logistics and other building materials production services. Support enterprises that conform to the national industrial policy and planning layout, and carry out technological transformation and upgrading with emphasis on quality varieties, energy conservation and consumption reduction, environmental protection, improvement of equipment, and safe production. We must vigorously implement energy conservation and emission reduction and circular economy, comprehensively improve the energy efficiency level in the production of building materials, and focus on the comprehensive utilization of industrial resources such as cement, cement concrete and its products, and wall materials.
