Designers Mario Caceres and Cristian Canonico noticed this problem and brought this artificial solar-powered air tree (Treepods) to hope that this specialized device will bring higher air purification efficiency:
The shape is like a tree. Treepods are made of biodegradable plastics processed from recycled plastics. Solar panels are installed on the canopy, which can be used to obtain electricity through solar energy and can be used to play with children through recreational facilities such as a seesaw at the root. The resulting kinetic energy is converted for use as auxiliary power. According to the designer’s expectations, Treepods have at least two major functions. First, and most importantly, air purification functions, mainly absorbing carbon dioxide and exhaling oxygen (of course, from a scientific point of view, whether this conversion can be achieved through artificial devices, And how much energy is needed to achieve it, the designer did not explicitly specify); the second is for night lighting, equivalent to a solar street light.
