Application of Foam Glass on Building Walls

Foam glass has excellent comprehensive performance, and has extremely strong weather resistance and durability. It has the same service life as buildings, and its coefficient of linear expansion is basically the same as that of concrete and other wall materials. Surface porosity is well bonded with cement mortar. The construction is convenient, and it has high strength, low thermal conductivity, no water absorption and other characteristics. It is resistant to ultraviolet rays, strong wind and rain, and has a permanent insulation effect. At the same time, it avoids damage to the building structure caused by changes in high and low temperatures.

First, the scope of use of the system

Foam glass heat insulation system is suitable for external insulation of building exterior wall, indoor partition wall, constant temperature and humidity workshop and internal and external thermal insulation of machine room.

Second, the physical indicators of the system core materials

1. Physical properties of foam glass (see Table 1)

2. Adhesive mortar using jj plastic, ordinary cement, sand, expanded perlite formulated into a bonded mortar, its compressive strength and flexural strength ≥ 4Mpa, bond strength ≥ 0.9Mpa.

3. Overlay mortar is made of JJ adhesive, ordinary cement, sand, anti-crack fiber, and expanded perlite. The compressive strength and flexural strength ≥ 10Mpa, flexural strength ≥ 4Mpa, and bond strength ≥ 1.2Mpa. .

Third, foam glass exterior insulation system features

1. Safe and reliable Foam glass exterior insulation system has a simple structure and light weight. Adhesive and covering surface are made of polymer cement mortar, which has good weather resistance and firm adhesion to the wall. The overall performance is good, and it can effectively avoid the risk of the insulation falling down.

2. Energy-saving effect Permanent foam glass is inorganic material, closed-cell, light-weight and non-aging, and its thermal insulation performance will not be reduced by any external factors.

3. Impermeability Strong foam glass itself closed-cell, non-absorbent, and overcoat polymer cement mortar also has a strong waterproof performance, so the system is not only thermal insulation, but also to solve the waterproof leakage of the wall.

4. Good impact resistance The external wall foam insulation glass has a high strength (≥ 0.5 MPa), and the overlying polymer cement mortar has a greater impact strength.

5. Simple construction without pollution The formula of polymer cement mortar is simple (or corresponding dry mortar). Use traditional hand-squeezing and paste foam glass. The materials used in the system are non-toxic, harmless, and free of white pollution, and are purely environmentally friendly products.

Fourth, foam glass exterior insulation system construction points

1. Operating sequence of the wall

When the outer wall is covered with foam glass, the wall base leveling layer shall be wetted with blisterless water first, the surface of the adhered foam glass shall be cleaned with compressed air or brush, and the surface floating ash shall be removed with a toothed trowel on the back and sides. About 2mm thick adhesive mortar, while scraping 2mm thick adhesive mortar on the wall surface, immediately adhere the foam glass to the wall surface, squeezing with forcefully flush with the surrounding block, and then tapping with a rubber mallet, Make it firmly bonded, sticking between blocks and blocks. When the excess mortar is extruded, it should be scraped immediately.

2. Paved installation methods

When paving, it is generally horizontally laid horizontally from top to bottom. (Also from the bottom up, in the construction of the next block, in order to avoid falling movement, support should be added to make it slippery). Each layer should be horizontally aligned and the vertical direction should be staggered. When it is not possible to paste the whole piece, it is necessary to measure the size in advance and saw it in the required size in situ, and it is not allowed to cut it.

3. Provisions for outer wall mounting staples

For high-rise buildings with wall heights exceeding 4m and grids exceeding 20m above, fixing clips should be added. The spacing between clips should be about 1.2m. The fixing point should be at the intersection of foam glass blocks, and the anchorage depth of the wall must be 30mm.

4. Time requirement for overcoat construction

In the construction of the outer wall foam glass cover surface, the cover layer shall be applied only after the foam glass is affixed for 2 days. The foam glass insulation layer shall be inspected before construction, and the flatness of the foam glass insulation layer shall be more than 2 mm. The gap between the plates shall not be smooth. Fill up when full. When finishing the coating or pasting the tile, it is usually 1-2 days before the surface layer of the mortar is hardened.

5. The method of laying the grid cloth will remove the floating ash on the surface of the foamed glass insulation layer and spray a small amount of water, then wipe the surface mortar 3mm. Spread the grid cloth after wiping, and use the trowel to put the grid cloth. Press into the mortar, the grid cloth overlap each other about 3mm wide, the grid cloth should be smooth, not wrinkle, delamination, after the initial setting of the mortar, then wipe the cover layer 2mm, and wipe flat, compaction, pressure Light. For example, when the wall design is not laid with a grid cloth, an additional reinforced grid cloth shall be added at the corners of the wall and corners of the wall at the corners of the wall, each side being about 100 mm.

Our range of cable lockouts are ideal devices for securing most valves, isolators and industrial machines. Manufactured from an impact copolymer polypropylene with stainless steel internal parts and PVC coated steel cable, accepts 4-8 padlocks for mulltiple lockout applications.
