Analysis of the Causes of High Temperature of Vacuum Pump Motor

The busbar voltage of the vacuum pump motor is 380V. Due to the cable voltage drop and uneven load distribution, the actual applied voltage of the motor is only 365V, resulting in low voltage and large running current.
1. Analysis of the causes of high temperature of vacuum pump

(1) The motor has large power, large working current and large heat generation;
(2) The fan speed is low, the wind pressure and the air volume are small;
(3) The number of fan blades is small and the amount of wind generated is small;
(4) The motor is attached with dust and oil to reduce the heat dissipation capability;

2. Countermeasures for high temperature of vacuum pump

The motor power and speed are matched with the vacuum pump. The fan is installed on the motor spindle. The motor speed determines the fan speed and cannot be replaced. Although increasing the number of fan blades can play a certain role, the number of blades increases and the dynamic balance does not. Easy to find, if the search is not good, it will cause the motor vibration to increase.

(1) The original fan cover is lengthened by 40cm, and an axial fan with the same diameter as the fan cover is installed inside. The axial fan is powered by "target=_blank> machine motor power 850W, speed 1489r/min, voltage 380V and the original fan continues to be retained. The axial flow fan is additionally provided with one power supply control, and the axial flow fan is not interlocked with the main motor. After the vacuum pump is started, the axial flow fan is started in time, and the axial flow fan is stopped 30 minutes after the vacuum pump is stopped to ensure that the main motor is sufficiently cooled;
(2) Regularly remove dust from the motor to keep the heat sink of the motor clean and increase its heat dissipation capacity;
(3) Adjust the bus voltage of the vacuum pump to 400V.

3, the effect of high temperature vacuum pump

(1) Due to the high speed of the axial flow fan, large wind pressure and large cooling effect, the main motor temperature drops by 12 °C under the same ambient temperature and load current. The summer main motor temperature is not exceeded.
(2) The axial flow fan can be artificially controlled. After the main motor is stopped, the axial flow fan can still run to make the main motor fully cooled.
(3) Try to balance the load distribution of the two busbars as much as possible to prevent the voltage drop of a certain busbar due to excessive load.
(4) After the voltage is adjusted, the diaphragm pump running current is reduced to 210A and the heat is relatively reduced.
(5) Slowing down the insulation aging speed of the main motor and prolonging its service life.
