Yesterday, in the construction site of the 12-megawatt solar photovoltaic grid-connected project at Xiangshan Agricultural Shelter, workers are stepping up the construction of a Steel Structure agricultural greenhouse. Pan Yang, the project leader, pointed to the greenhouse and said, “This 579-mu land will build 263 steel agricultural greenhouses. Each of the greenhouses will have 240 W single crystal silicon solar panels installed on top of it, with a total installed capacity of 12 MW. It can generate 17 million kWh of electricity, and it can save 3973 tons of standard coal annually. At the same time, the shed will also be planted with a considerable amount of spring peaches, which can produce more than 1.5 million kilograms of spring peaches annually."
“This is the first high-tech agricultural development project in the province that integrates organic agriculture, environmental energy generation, and agricultural tourism.†Pan Yang said that the amount of electricity generated by solar energy is partially used to regulate temperature and fill light in greenhouses to shorten the growth of spring peaches. The cycle will increase the yield and quality of spring peaches; surplus electricity will be connected to the grid nearest to the local farmers and enterprises. Based on this forecast, after the project is completed and put into use, the annual revenue will be more than 26 million yuan.
According to reports, the project has a total investment of 320 million yuan and covers an area of ​​579 acres. It is invested by Ningbo Ruili New Energy Industrial Development Co., Ltd. The project was officially started in January this year and it is planned to be completed by the end of the year.
