Hastelloy is a nickel-base alloy that was originally developed as a container material for molten fluoride salts, to which it has good resistance in the temperature range 1300 to 1600ºF (705 to 870ºC).

The alloy has good oxidation resistance in air, and may be used to 1800ºF (980ºC) or intermittently to 1900ºF (1040ºC)
