Association: China's solar thermal utilization industry was born in the late 1970s and early 1980s. After 1990, China has become a major country in the production and application of solar thermal products, and is moving toward a big country of innovation. In the past 10 years, the energy-saving and emission-reducing effects of solar heat utilization in China have been very significant. In 2011, the output reached 57.60 million square meters, an increase of 17.6%. The value of energy saving and emission reduction has further increased. It is estimated that the annual output of solar thermal energy in China will reach 100 million to 120 million square meters in 2015, and the total amount will reach 400 million square meters, equivalent to an annual saving of 280,000 MWth. It can replace 60 million tons of standard coal, and can reduce CO 21.9 billion annually. t. These figures are sufficient to illustrate the important contribution of the solar thermal energy utilization industry to the overall goal of energy conservation and emission reduction in China. According to the current scale and speed of development, it is predicted that during the “12th Five-Year Plan” period, the energy contribution rate of the solar thermal energy industry will account for 90% of the solar energy industry and 10% of the renewable energy including water energy. In 2015, total national energy consumption was calculated at 4 billion tons of standard coal, and solar thermal energy utilization accounted for about 1.1% of total energy.
